Monica.jpgMonica Swift - Office Manager
Monica is the Office Manager at the studio.  Her daughter has been receiving instruction from The Pointe Dance Studio since its opening in the fall of 1999.  Monica and Terry Swift have been married fifteen years and are home-schooling their two children, Rachel (13) and Jacob (10). Monica graduated from Southwest Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology.  She sits on the board of a local home school resource center where she also teaches the sciences to home school students in the Central Texas area.

Headshotresized.jpgMr. Duncan is a native Texas who has danced professionally for many years.  At the beginning of his training he was awarded a scholarship and subsequent apprenticeship with the San Francisco Ballet.  Keith attended Butler University and while there danced with Indianapolis Ballet Theatre.  In 1980 he joined Compania Nacional de Danza in Mexico City, where he rose to the rank of soloist within two weeks.  There he danced soloist roles in the company’s vast repertoire including La Fille Mal Gardee, Graduation Ball, and Swan Lake.  He returned to Texas where he founded Victoria Ballet Theatre.  He received a commission from the prestigious Victoria Bach Society for two original works for the company.  The director Ballet Arizona extended an invitation to Mr. Duncan to join the company as a soloist.  There he danced works by Balanchine, Limon, Cranko, and North.  After his performing career, Keith has taught and choreographed throughout the United States.  Mr. Duncan is much in demand as an inspired teacher and choreographer; known for his attention to detail.  Some of his past students have been accepted to the Julliard School, American Ballet Theatre, and the Royal Ballet School.

sarahbw.jpgSarah Aujon - Ballet
Sarah Aujon began her training in San Antonio under Mayra Worthen and spent summers studying at Ballet Austin, Joffrey, Jillana, Houston Ballet and Pacific Northwest Ballet, all on scholarship. She continued her training on full scholarship at the Houston Ballet Academy where she was a member of Houston Ballet II. In 2005, Ms. Aujon graduated with distinction from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ballet Performance.  She was an apprentice with Tulsa Ballet and Bejart Ballet Lausanne before joining the Ballet de l’Opera National de Bordeaux under the direction of Charles Jude where she danced for two years. She has enjoyed dancing soloist roles in Jude’s Giselle and Don Quixote, Bournonville’s Flower Festival in Genzano, Joffrey’s Pas des Deeses, Balanchines’ Valse Fantasie, Serenade, and Concerto Barocco, and has toured throughout Spain, Italy, and France. Sarah is currently in her second season with Ballet San Antonio.

Born in Parnersburg, West Virginia, Ms. Lewis began her study of ballet in Houston with Rudy Jenkins.  At the age of sixteen Dana moved to New York and studied at The American Ballet with a full scholarship and was invited by George Balanchine into The New York City Ballet.  Dana continued her career dancing with The New World Ballet of Caracas, The Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, and Ballet Austin as a principal dancer.  Ms. Lewis has performed in numerous classical and contemporary roles, receiving critical acclaim.  She has worked with the finest of choreographers and dancers around the world. 
She is very excited to be a part of The Pointe Dance Studio family and is looking forward to developing our dancer’s talents and performing skills!

chadfinal.jpgChad Dunn - Stretch and Strengthen/Acro upper level

Chad began tumbling when he was a cheerleader at Hays High School. He quickly discovered his love for sharing his knowledge about tumbling and cheerleading, and began coaching at the age of 16. After high school Chad enlisted into the United States Air Force. While in the Air Force he took the time to coach a local high school in tumbling and cheerleading. After finishing his enlistment in the military he moved to San Marcos to attend Texas State University where he became a cheerleader for the University. He also began coaching again at a local tumbling gym. Chad has collectively been coaching tumbling for over nine years and has worked with all ages. He has won several awards through cheerleading as a cheerleader and as a coach and was also a featured coach on “E! True Hollywood Stories: Inside Cheerleading”




Pattyheadshotfinal.jpgPatricia Hom - Ballet and Lyrical
Ms. Hom started her acrobatic training at the age of 5, in New Jersey, where she was born and raised until the age of 11. After moving to Illinois, she took up lyrical, jazz, and tap under the direction of Ms. Victoria Warren and Ms. Shannon Dereby-Levitt. There she was taught different styles of choreography as well as strengthening techniques while assisting classes at her local studio. She was also member of her high school dance team and received many awards both individually and as a team member. When Ms. Hom relocated to Texas at the age of 17, she started studying classical Ballet under Christopher Fairbank, and received training from Ms. Katherine Grote soon after. Since living in Texas, Ms. Hom has danced, choreographed and taught master classes within Texas, Lousiana, and Georgia. She has also been fortunate enough to work with Ballet San Antonio under the direction of Mayra Worthen. Ms. Hom thoroughly enjoys teaching all ages and hopes to continue teaching and passing her knowledge to students. She is also a student at Texas State receiving her degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Forensic Psychology and Sociology.

Jennifer Besch began dancing at age four under "Toots" Johnson in San Antonio Texas. As she was growing up Jennifer moved around a lot. This gave her the opportunity to study under many different teachers. She has studied many different forms of dance including ballet, tap, jazz, modern and hip hop. Jennifer has been teaching at The Pointe Dance Studio now for 6 years. She has a Bachelors of Science in Psychology and Biology from Texas State University. She loves working with kids and really enjoys sharing her love of dance with others
