Laura Osburn - Assistant Director
|
|
Laura heads the Beginner through Advanced Tap programs
at the Pointe Dance Studio as well as the Stretch and Strengthen programs.
Ms. Osburn is uniquely qualified for working with young dancers; beyond
her love for dance, she began formal dance training and knew its joy
when she began formal training at two years of age. She began teaching
at the age of 13. To her credit are numerous awards for Pointe, Jazz
and Tap which lends the strength and talent to her career to train
others. Her formal training was obtained and tested through the renowned
Cecchetti Method of Ballet, often using her summers for attendance
in extensive workshops in Michigan. Ms. Osburn incorporates her own
methodologies with those of her original instructor, a gifted former
professional ballerina with the New York City Ballet. Impassioned
by the desire to share the art of dance with children and patrons
alike, Laura views her gift as a great blessing and loves serving
her community in this way. Laura is married to Todd Osburn, owner
of Fantastic Carpet Cleaning. Together they make their home with their
two beautiful children in Kyle. |
